ECO-ACTIVE BUSINESS is about you choosing the most appropriate and relevant actions according to the nature and type of your organisation.

Once you have decided which level is right for you, make sure you have all the correct guidance and templates using the checklist that you will find in the introduction to each level.

Use the step by step guide to put together a dossier of information. This may take you a few weeks or even months, depending on how big or complex your organisation is. Don’t worry, it isn’t a race, there is no closing date! You can submit your dossier at any time.

Once you have got all the information together in your dossier, send it to the ECO-ACTIVE BUSINESS team – this is called the ‘ECO-ACTIVE Dossier’.

The team will check your dossier and decide if you meet the standard required. You will receive a response within 3 working weeks of submitting your dossier.

ECO-ACTIVE BUSINESS runs on an annual anniversary renewal basis; so once registered, your membership will run for one year, at which point we will contact you and ask you to renew and refresh your information.

The ECO-ACTIVE BUSINESS network is supported by a series of events and through legal updates which will be provided both on the website and through the Jersey Chamber of Commerce newsletter.

All information that you provide is on a self assessment basis – it is up to you to tell us what you are doing to reduce your environmental impact. But we will carry out spot checks on a random sample of members each year, just to make sure…

Please note that any companies who join at Level 1 must become a Level 2 MEMBER within 2 years or their first registration.
